File servers, NAS boxes, S3 buckets and WebDAV shares are attached as a mount or a connector. The files may stay exactly where they are: PaperOffice keeps index, metadata and AI results. Emails are added as saved files by upload.
Classification reads document type, direction, language and sender from the content, without training and without a template per sender. Your own document types can be added with a folder suggestion and a retention period.

No. The archive is read as it is. Type, sender, date and references come from the content, not from the file name. Sorting happens after intake, not before it.

The file name no longer decides where a document belongs. Several drafts of the same document can be kept as versions of one document instead of sitting next to each other as separate files.
