Set up PaperOffice in Claude
Step 1

User token or OAuth

Choose a path. The Claude connection below is identical for both.

The demo token only grants access to the shared demo workspace. Use the “With account” tab for your own documents.

Connect PaperOffice in Claude

Follow these steps in Claude — in the same order as in the app. Identical for demo and your own account.

Open Customize in the Claude sidebar

In Claude select Customize at the bottom of the left sidebar.

Step 3

Open Connectors and choose +

Under Customize select Connectors, click + at the top right and choose Add custom connector.

Step 4

Fill in the connector dialog

Paste name and MCP URL using the copy buttons — leave advanced settings collapsed. Then click Add.

Connect Claude with your data and tools.

Leave advanced settings collapsed — no OAuth Client ID or secret needed.

Authorize on the PaperOffice page

Claude opens a window on mcp.paperoffice.ai. Paste the User token (po_ut_ / po_gt_) from step 1 (demo) or step 03 (own account) and click Authorize — not in Claude’s OAuth fields. po_sk_ is blocked for MCP.

Review tool permissions

Back in Claude, choose Always allow for all tool groups.
