PaperOffice PLUS — support, updates and OnlineServices
The purchase licence never expires. For proper operation you need PaperOffice PLUS: release updates, annual full versions, support level 0+1 and OnlineServices (DropPage, DropMail, EmailConnect). 1 month is included. After that you renew PLUS in the shop. Without PLUS, Classic still runs — but without updates, without support entitlement and without OnlineServices. That works, but it is not recommended as ongoing operation. Open the shop

Can I try PaperOffice Classic for free?
Yes — 14 days unrestricted with the full feature set and support access. Download the trial, install it, evaluate it — buy if it fits. Commercial evaluations can run up to 6 months.
Does Classic run only on a NAS?
No. Classic is a Windows application and connects to any MariaDB. That can be a NAS, a VPS, your own server or a cloud. database. NAS is a common scenario, not a requirement.
Is PaperOffice Classic GoBD-compliant — and what does that mean?
Yes. Classic is built for GoBD-compliant, audit-proof archiving. GoBD stands for the German principles of orderly keeping and retention of books, records and documents in electronic form, including data access — the tax authority rules for digital business records. Tax-relevant documents must be kept complete, traceable, timely and unalterable. Changes need a visible history, the tax office must be able to evaluate the data in an audit, and the path from capture to filing belongs in procedural documentation. Classic supports this with audit-proof storage, automatic versioning and procedural documentation — on-premise in your own MariaDB. Organisational duty stays with the company: retention periods, access rights and day-to-day operation must match the organisation’s own processes.
Is the licence perpetual — and do I need PaperOffice PLUS?
The purchase licence is perpetual; the software does not expire. Support entitlement, updates and OnlineServices belong to PaperOffice PLUS. PLUS is included for 1 month; afterwards you renew PLUS in the shop. Without PLUS you can keep using Classic, but without updates, without support and without OnlineServices — that is not recommended operation.
What about TEAM, TEAM Complete and CUSTOM?
PaperOffice TEAM is now PaperOffice Classic — same feature set, same terms. TEAM Complete and CUSTOM are no longer sold; existing customers remain supported. For larger needs, PaperOffice AI is the successor.
Where do I get support for Classic?
Centrally via the PaperOffice AI app (tickets and chat) and the knowledge base at help.paperoffice.ai. With active PaperOffice PLUS, support level 0+1 is included.
