Create your account, generate a personal API key — then use the same ChatGPT connection as the demo path.
Register for free at app.paperoffice.ai. Your workspaces, documents and processes are ready to use straight away.
In PaperOffice open the API area and generate a personal access token for the MCP connector.
Copy the key from the API area and enter it in the field below — it is used in step 6 for authorization.
The key is stored locally in your browser and shown in step 6 (Authorize) — not the demo key.
Follow these steps in ChatGPT — in the same order as in the app. Identical for demo and your own account. Developer mode and custom plugins typically require a paid ChatGPT plan.
In ChatGPT open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode (Increased risk notice).
In the ChatGPT sidebar open @ Plugins, then click + next to Search plugins.
Paste name and MCP URL using the copy buttons — keep Server URL and OAuth. Confirm the risk checkbox, then click Create.

In the ChatGPT consent dialog choose Sign in with PaperOffice AI — then the PaperOffice authorization page opens.
Paste your API key from step 1 (demo) or step 03 (own account) and click Authorize. Return destination is ChatGPT.
ChatGPT is requesting access to your PaperOffice account via MCP.
Paste the demo key from step 1, then click Authorize.
PaperOffice is connected. Start a new chat and use the plugin via @ or Sources — with the sample prompts below.
Works for the demo workspace and your own account — paste into ChatGPT.
The MCP connector is not limited to ChatGPT — the same PaperOffice endpoints work in any MCP-capable client.
