Do signers need an account?
No. Signers receive a signing link by email, confirm with an SMS one-time code and sign in the browser or on their phone.
Which signature level does PaperOffice Sign provide?
The simple electronic signature (SES) under eIDAS – with SMS OTP, signature image, audit trail and certificate. The level is fixed and is not chosen per request.
How are signatures evidenced?
The signed PDF and the certificate are filed with the document. Every signature can be verified for integrity, certificate chain and time.
What if someone does not respond?
Reminders go out automatically according to your settings, in addition you can remind manually at any time or cancel the request. Requests can expire.
What does a signature cost?
€0.99 per signature, a sent request costs the same, the SMS one-time code is billed per SMS. No subscription per user. €1 equals 1,000 credits.
Can I build signatures into processes?
Yes. In Workflow AI the signature request is a node, for example after approval. Via API you create requests, check the status and download the signed PDF, webhooks report every change.
Can several people sign in order?
Yes. You define order and roles per request. Every person sees their status, declines and expiry are documented.
Where are my documents processed?
In our own data center in the EU on own hardware. Encrypted with AES-256 and TLS 1.3, processed on RAM disk, deleted after completion. ISO/IEC 27001 certified; SOC 2 Type II in preparation.
