Questions about the mobile app
Do I have to install the app?
No. The app runs as a progressive web app in the browser and can be placed on the home screen. It behaves like a native app, without app store and without IT approval.
How do I sign in?
Sign in on the desktop, scan the QR code with your phone, done. Afterwards with fingerprint or Face ID by the WebAuthn standard.
What happens to scans without a network?
They go into a local queue and are uploaded automatically as soon as the connection is back. No scan is lost.
Can I sign on the go?
Yes. Sign on the display, confirm by SMS code, timestamp and audit trail come along.
What if I lose my phone?
Disconnect the mobile session on the desktop. The connection is invalid immediately, local data is deleted.
Can I send files from other apps?
Yes. Through the phone's share menu, photos, PDFs and files go directly to PaperOffice.
Is there an API?
The mobile app is one access path to the AI-DMS. Everything it does runs over the same platform whose functions are available via REST API and MCP.
