Use PaperOffice inside Cursor

The same AI-DMS — connected in Cursor via the MCP endpoint /cursor. File → Cursor Settings → Customize, edit mcp.json and save.

Try it now — no account needed About the MCP connector

PaperOffice AI in Claude — the full demo

Shown with Claude as the example. You connect Cursor through MCP as well — the steps are below.

Step 1

User token

Choose a path. The mcp.json connection below is identical for both.

Recommended for testing

Use the shared demo User token (po_gt_) to work with the prepared demo workspace in Cursor right away.

Demo User token

po_gt_256880_221_dee256786c85203ab2d05a57ba4e99a14c9c0118aab3efe6

The demo token only grants access to the shared demo workspace. Use the “With account” tab for your own documents.

Connect PaperOffice in Cursor

No connector dialog like Claude: File → Cursor Settings → Customize, edit mcp.json and save. The token lives in the Authorization header.

Step 2

Open Cursor Settings

In Cursor choose File → Cursor Settings (also File → Preferences → Cursor Settings, shortcut Ctrl+,). Do not open Editor Settings / VS Code Settings.

Use this exact path — not Editor Settings / VS Code Settings.

Step 3

Open Customize and MCPs

On the left open Customize, then select the MCPs filter. Existing servers appear under Connected. Add a new one with + New or Add a Custom MCP Server.

Connect External Tools with MCP

MCP servers connect Cursor to external tools and data sources.

+ New Documentation

Customize → MCPs. Then open mcp.json, or use + New for a custom server.

Step 4

Edit mcp.json and save

Open ~/.cursor/mcp.json (source User). Paste the paperoffice block with https://mcp.paperoffice.ai/cursor and the User token from step 1, then save. If paperoffice already exists, update that entry — do not create a second server.

mcp.json ~/.cursor/mcp.json

Source User ~/.cursor/mcp.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "paperoffice": {
      "url": "https://mcp.paperoffice.ai/cursor",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer po_gt_256880_221_dee256786c85203ab2d05a57ba4e99a14c9c0118aab3efe6"
      }
    }
  }
}

Save after pasting. The Bearer is the User token from step 1.

Step 5

Confirm the connection

After saving, paperoffice appears under Connected with a green status and the PaperOffice tools. If the list stays empty, choose Reload in the dialog. po_sk_ is blocked for MCP.

Green status = connected. Use Reload only if the tool list stays empty after saving.

Step 6

Chat in Cursor

PaperOffice is connected. Ask the agent about documents, workspaces or processes — using the sample prompts below.

Sample prompts

Works for the demo workspace and your own account — paste into the Cursor chat.

Which documents are in my workspace?
Summarize the most recent document.
Find all invoices and list their amounts.
Which contracts contain a notice period?

The MCP connector is not limited to Cursor — the same PaperOffice endpoints work in every MCP-capable client.
