Create an account
Register for free in the web app. The “Getting started” page then guides you through the setup.

Create a workspace
A workspace collects your documents. If the storage should be on your NAS, choose the BYOS storage mode when creating it.

Bring in your documents
Upload files, read a folder via a connector or take over entire folder trees with the Data Importer from the Starter plan.
Keep your NAS
Keep using Synology, QNAP, ASUSTOR or UGREEN.
With BYOS, PaperOffice AI stores the documents of a workspace encrypted on your NAS, if desired without port forwarding via reverse SSH. The guide for each manufacturer is on the NAS page.

Can I still download the PaperOffice Classic trial?
No. The trial has been discontinued. New users start with PaperOffice AI in the browser.
Do I need to install anything for PaperOffice AI?
No. PaperOffice AI runs in the browser. No Windows program or database of your own is needed.
What does PaperOffice AI cost?
Getting started is free. The plans and usage-based billing are listed on the pricing page.
Can I keep using my NAS?
Yes. With BYOS, the documents of a workspace are stored encrypted on your NAS, even without port forwarding via reverse SSH.
How do I bring in existing documents?
By upload, via a connector from a folder or with the Data Importer from the Starter plan. In index mode, the originals stay on the NAS.
What about my existing Classic licence?
The perpetual licence remains valid. You will find the installer in your licence email, and Classic support helps with any questions.
