What it does
- Adds a PaperOffice AI app to the ticket sidebar. Agents choose an attachment of the ticket.
- Stores the attachment in your PaperOffice AI workspace.
- Extracts supplier, invoice number, dates, amounts, VAT and bank details, and checks them.
- Opens the result in the private note editor. The agent adds it with their own Freshdesk permissions.
- Reads only the attachment you choose, and only when you click the button.
- Needs no Freshdesk API key.
- Interface texts are included for 21 languages.
Document processing (OCR, extraction, classification) runs on PaperOffice's own hardware in its own data center in Navarra, Spain (EU), without external AI providers.
Limits: version 1 offers only the attachments of the ticket itself, not those of later replies. Files larger than 80 MB are rejected. A note under the button states that each extraction is billed to your PaperOffice AI account.
Setup
Set up in a few steps
- Install the app from the Freshworks Marketplace once it is available.
- In PaperOffice AI, create a User token (po_ut_…) under Account → API.
- Enter the token in the app's installation settings. Freshworks stores it as a secure parameter.
- Open a ticket and choose an attachment in the sidebar.
- Start the extraction, then add the result from the private note editor.

Questions and answers
Is the app available yet?
Not yet. It is built but not submitted and has not been tested against a live Freshdesk account. PaperOffice AI is an independent product and is not affiliated with Freshworks.
Why are attachments of later replies missing?
Version 1 works only with the ticket's own attachments. A later version may add more.
What does it cost?
No specific plan is required. Usage is billed to your PaperOffice AI account as usual.
