What it does
- Open a file in Box, choose PaperOffice AI in the integrations menu and confirm.
- Stores the file in your PaperOffice AI workspace.
- Extracts supplier, invoice number, dates, amounts, VAT and bank details, and checks them.
- Adds the result as a new comment on the file. Nothing in the file itself is changed.
- Works with your own Box permissions; reading requires edit permission for the file.
- Does not read a file again without asking if it was already read.
Document processing (OCR, extraction, classification) runs on PaperOffice's own hardware in its own data center in Navarra, Spain (EU), without external AI providers.
Limits: the comment, including extracted data such as the IBAN, is visible to everyone who has access to the file. Think about this before you start an extraction on shared files.
Setup
Set up in a few steps
- Enable the PaperOffice AI integration in Box once it is available.
- In PaperOffice AI, create a User token (po_ut_…) under Account → API.
- Enter the token when the integration asks for it.
- Open a file in Box and choose PaperOffice AI in the integrations menu.
- Confirm. The result appears as a comment on the file.

The integration asks before it reads the file again.
