ChatGPT connects to the PaperOffice MCP server via a plugin. Once set up, document search, content, and PaperOffice AI tools are available directly in chat.
Get your user token ready
In PaperOffice, open PaperOffice Account → API and copy your user token (starts with po_ut_ or po_gt_). Secret keys (po_sk_) are blocked for MCP.
Enable developer mode
In ChatGPT, go to Settings → Security and login and enable developer mode. Confirm the “elevated risk” notice.
Open Plugins and choose ”+”
In the ChatGPT sidebar, open @ Plugins and click + next to “Search plugins”.
Fill in the “New plugin” dialog
Enter the name and MCP URL, choose Server URL as the connection and OAuth as authentication. Confirm the risk notice and click Create.
Name: PaperOffice AI
MCP URL: https://mcp.paperoffice.ai/chatgpt
Confirm in ChatGPT
In the ChatGPT consent dialog, choose Sign in with PaperOffice AI — the PaperOffice authorization opens afterwards.
Authorize on the PaperOffice page
Paste your user token (po_ut_ / po_gt_) and click Authorize. You will be returned to ChatGPT.
Chat with ChatGPT
PaperOffice is connected. Start a new chat and use the plugin via @ or the sources, for example:
Search PaperOffice for the current rental contract and tell me the notice period.
