Create an IDP Agent: template, fields, rules

Every week, the same invoices arrive. Someone types the same fields into the next system. A digit slips. The pile keeps growing.

With an IDP Agent, you set that up once. Start from a real document: the engine reads it and suggests templates from the agent catalog. You pick one, with its fields.

Every field has a key, a type, and one prompt in plain language. No training. Then you add rules: the pages to search, a pattern, and what happens when the value is missing.

Then you test it. The values come back as data, with page and position, plus your own check: do the line items add up? Then repeat the run several times in a row, to see whether the result holds.

The next invoice is Spanish, with another layout. The agent still finds the fields: it reads meaning, not coordinates. If a required field is missing and a review queue is set up, a person gets the task.

Run it by hand, or on many documents at once, with a status for each. Or automatically: the document type starts it. Then your ERP gets a webhook and fetches the fields itself.
