Is an email sent to the address?
No. The check works with domain lists, DNS records and patterns. The person behind the address notices nothing.
What does is_deliverable mean?
The domain has a valid MX record and can accept mail according to DNS. Together with is_disposable and risk_score, you get the full picture.
How do I decide automatically?
Use recommendation: accept ACCEPT, flag REVIEW, reject REJECT. For your own thresholds, risk_score from 0 to 100 is available.
Can I also check phone numbers and websites?
Yes. POST /validate/all checks email, phone number and website in one call: the number against the international E.164 format, the website for DNS, HTTP and SSL.
