How to enter page ranges
Each range becomes its own PDF file. Separate several ranges with commas; a hyphen means “to”. With “Put all ranges into one file” you get a single PDF with exactly these pages instead, in the order you entered them.
- 1-3 – pages 1 to 3
- 4 – page 4 only
- 7- – from page 7 to the end
- -3 – from the start to page 3

Good to know
Pages, images and text are taken over unchanged; nothing is recalculated or compressed. Links to pages that are not part of a file are removed, so no content of other pages stays hidden inside it.
Bookmarks of the original file are not carried over. Fill in forms before splitting, because form fields may not be editable in every program afterwards.

Questions about splitting PDFs
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Splitting runs entirely in your browser. Your file never leaves your device.
How do I enter page ranges?
Separate ranges with commas, for example 1-3, 4, 7-9. Each range becomes its own file. “5-” means page 5 to the end, “-3” means the start up to page 3.
Can I save several ranges in one file?
Yes. Choose “Put all ranges into one file”. You then get one PDF with exactly these pages, in the order you entered them.
How large can the PDF be?
Up to 100 MB, split into at most 1,000 files per run. With very large files, the speed also depends on your device's memory.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
Yes, if you know the password. Enter it right in the file list. The parts are no longer protected afterwards.
