Email address checker

Detect disposable and fake addresses without sending an email.

We check the spelling, disposable providers and the domain's mail server. No email is sent.

For the check, the address you enter is sent to the PaperOffice API in encrypted form. No email is sent to the address.

How it works

Check an email address in seconds

  1. Enter the address

Type the email address you want to check into the field.

  2. Check

Spelling, disposable providers and the domain's mail server are checked.

  3. Use the result

Looks good, check more closely or do not use – with the reason.

How to spot fake and disposable addresses

Disposable addresses

Services such as Mailinator or Guerrilla Mail provide mailboxes that last only minutes or hours. People who sign up with them usually just want a download or a voucher and cannot be reached afterwards. For newsletters, trial accounts and leads, such addresses are worthless.

Mail server and spelling

An address can only work if the domain has a mail server (MX record). If it is missing, every email bounces. Wrong spelling stands out too, such as missing dots or a double @.

Limits of the check

Whether a specific mailbox exists is usually only revealed by the mail server when sending. The check therefore assesses spelling, domain and mail server – enough to filter out most fake and disposable addresses before you store them.

FAQ

Questions about the email check

Is an email sent to the address?

No. Spelling, domain and mail server are checked. The recipient does not notice the check.

What is a disposable address?

A mailbox that only exists for a short time, for example at Mailinator. It is often used to sign up without being reachable.

Does “Looks good” mean the mailbox exists?

Not quite. It means: spelled correctly, not a disposable provider and the domain can receive email. Whether the individual mailbox exists only shows when sending.

Can I check many addresses at once?

The free tool checks single addresses. Check lists with PaperOffice AI fake email detection in batch or via the API.

Why are free email addresses not suspicious?

Gmail, Outlook or GMX are normal providers that many people use privately and at work. The tool simply shows that it is a free email provider.
