Fill PDF form

Fill in and save fillable PDF forms right in your browser.

Your files are processed directly in your browser and are not uploaded. They never leave your device.

How it works

Fill in a PDF form in three steps

  1. Choose your form

Drop the PDF form into the box. The tool reads all fillable fields.

  2. Fill in the fields

Fill in the fields page by page. The preview shows where each field sits in the document.

  3. Save

Save the completed PDF – locked if you like, so the values can no longer be changed.

Fill in PDF forms without uploading them

Edit fillable fields with ease

Many forms from public authorities, insurers and banks contain fillable fields. The tool shows them as a clear form, ordered by page, and writes your entries back into the same PDF file.

  • Text fields, including multi-line fields and character limits
  • Check boxes and radio buttons
  • Drop-down lists and list boxes with multiple selection
  • Read-only fields stay as they are

Lock the form

“Lock the form” writes the values permanently into the pages. The fields disappear, the result looks the same in every PDF reader and can no longer be changed by accident.

Good to know

The tool cannot fill in forms in XFA format, an older Adobe technology – it recognizes them and tells you. Calculations and checks that are stored in the form as scripts are not run.

If an entry contains characters that the PDF's standard font does not know, for example Polish or Cyrillic letters, the field is drawn with your browser's font.

FAQ

Questions about filling in PDF forms

Is my form data uploaded?

No. The form is filled in entirely in your browser. Your entries and the file never leave your device.

What does “Lock the form” do?

The values are written permanently into the pages and the form fields are removed, so the values can no longer be changed in a PDF reader. Also save an unlocked copy if you may want to change something later.

My PDF has no fillable fields. What now?

Then the form was saved as a plain document or scanned. You can print it and fill it in by hand, or add your signature and the date with “Sign PDF”.

Why can't my form be filled in?

It probably uses XFA, an older form format from Adobe. Such forms can only be filled in completely in Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader. The tool recognizes them and tells you.

Can I fill in password-protected forms?

Yes, if you know the password. Enter it right in the file list. The completed form is saved without password protection.
