With these settings, no page gets a number.

Rotated pages and page margins
The tool takes rotated pages and the visible page area into account. The number therefore always sits upright at the visible edge, also in landscape format or on rotated scans.
Good to know
The numbers are added as text and can be searched. The existing content stays unchanged. If there is already text where the number goes, choose a different position or a larger distance from the edge.

Questions about adding page numbers
Can I leave the cover page without a number?
Yes. Turn on "No number on the cover page". Page 1 still counts but carries no number. With start number 0, counting starts at 1 on page 2.
Can I number only some pages?
Yes. Choose "Specific pages" and enter ranges such as 3-12. The first selected page gets the start number.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Adding the numbers runs entirely in your browser. Your file never leaves your device.
Does it work with landscape and rotated pages?
Yes. The number always sits upright at the chosen spot, the way the page is displayed.
Are the page numbers searchable?
Yes. They are added as text and can be selected, copied and searched.
